Yedi Eylül Neighborhood is a town industrialized in the 1990s. Winds
blowing from the northeast bring the harmful steams released from the
industrial facilities. Thus, Yedi Eylül suffers from foul smell. This also poses a
problem for the city (Map 8).

Urban noise areas are also important topics in terms of human health and
environment with a focus on urban resilience. For human health, exposure
to noise of 90 db. and over for more than 10-15 minutes can lead to serious
health problems. The areas of use in urban noise category are places with
noise of 90db. and over, such as railways, highways, and industrial areas. In
Torbalı, İzmir-Aydın-Denizli Railway and Torbalı Industrial Zone are identified
as noise areas (Map 8)
