insufficiency. This might be because industrial and non-residential urban work
areas inhabit the area while the residential units in the area are relatively fewer.
Muratbey, Ertuğrul, Cumhuriyet, Atatürk, Tepeköy, Alpkent, Mustafa Kemal
Atatürk, Çapak, Çaybaşı, Karşıyaka, Yemişlik neighborhoods were detected as
the weakest areas in terms of access to health services (Map 4).

Based on the infrastructure
areas emphasized by Spatial Plans
Construction Regulations, there are a
total of 3 outdoor and green categories
in Torbalı district. These are recreation
areas, district sport area, playgrounds,
and park area. It was also detected that
the settlement is insufficient in terms of
green area per person. The scarcity of
green areas in the city leads to issues
at a neighbourhood and urban scale
and increases vulnerability in terms of
urban high temperatures (Map 5).
