After the earthquake, the number of registered workplaces in 11 provinces
decreased by 69,545; the drops in the number of workplaces in Kahramanmaraş,
Hatay, Adiyaman and Malatya were 65 percent and above. These provinces
are followed by Osmaniye and Gaziantep with the decreases observed in the
number of registered workplaces by 32 percent and 25.6 percent, respectively.
No notifications were made for 13.421 enterprises in Kahramanmaraş, and
for 19.302 enterprises in Hatay. Drops in Malatya and Gaziantep are close to
10 thousand while 5.677 in Malatya and 4.675 in Adana. The decreases in the
number of workplaces in Diyarbakır and Elazığ are below 10 percent.
