What Has Been Done

IPA-I

• The investment of 30 environmental infrastructure
projects has been realized.
• A pioneering effort was made to invest 704 million
Euros.
• 7 capacity building projects have been completed

During the IPA-I period, the Ministry of Environment,
Urbanization and Climate Change pioneered an in-
vestment of 704 million Euros, of which approxima-
tely 595 million Euros were EU grants and 109 million
Euros were national contributions.

In this period, a total of 30 environmental infrastructu-
re projects were invested in the field of drinking water,
wastewater and solid waste management, which were
carried out with 44 municipalities in 25 different provin-
ces from all regions of the country by the end of 2017.
Nearly 9 million people were provided with the oppor-
tunity to live in a cleaner environment in line with EU
standards through these projects, to which the Ministry
of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change fi-
nancially contributed, as well as the EU grant.

IPA-II

and Doğubayazıt wastewater projects, Trabzon, Bismil, Bandırma, Niksar and Rize water
