Bandırma Integrated Water Project
The works for the Bandırma Integrated Water Project,
which is located under the “Water”, which is the 1st Action
of the “Environment and Climate Action Sector Operatio-
nal Program” of the IPA-II period, continues. The project,
with a total budget of 19 million Euros, consists of three
components: Bandırma Water and Wastewater Project
Technical Assistance and Consultancy Contract, Bandır-
ma Wastewater Treatment Plant Construction Contract
and Bandırma Water and Wastewater Project Construc-
tion Contract.
Kastamonu Wastewater
The project, financed by the Republic of Turkey and the
European Union, under the “Waste Action”, the 2nd Action
of the IPA-II period Environment and Climate Action Sector
Operational Program, has a total budget of 16 million Euros.
There are few days before the advanced biological was-
tewater treatment plant with a capacity of 31,978 m3/day
(which can treat the wastewater of 155,790 people), which
is nearing completion, will be opened for service.
KASMIB Integrated Solid Waste
Management Project
Within the scope of the project with a budget of 10 milli-
on Euros, 15 wild landfills were rehabilitated and a waste
leachate treatment plant was built for the purpose of re-
habilitating the old irregular solid waste sites. The project,
which has reached the completion stage, has been trans-
ferred to the Kastamonu Local Government Association
(KASMIB).
Rize Wastewater Project
The construction of the Rize Wastewater Treatment Plant,
the foundation of which was laid on November 15, 2021, is
planned to be completed and commissioned in July 2023.
Through the implementation of the project with a total
cost of 20 million Euros, the construction of the wastewa-
ter treatment plant, which includes physical, chemical
and biological treatment units, sludge drying units and an
odor removal unit, will be carried out.
Şırnak Wastewater Treatment
Plant Project
Within the scope of the project with a total budget of
9.361.819,35 Euros, an advanced biological wastewater
treatment plant with a capacity of 12.000 m3/day will be
built. It is planned that the project will meet the wastewa-
ter treatment needs of the region until 2047, by construc-
ting a wastewater treatment plant including the wastewa-
ter collection network.
