               5.2.3. Thematic forum meetings (4-5-6 and 9-10-11-12 December 2024)
               The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has worked closely with the UNCCD Secretariat
            and numerous partners to create an ambitious Riyadh Action Agenda that will
            include thematic days to raise awareness and scale transformative solutions,
            and has created the following thematic days (UNCCD, 2024):
               •   Land Day,
               •   Agri-Food Systems Day,
               •   Governance Day,
               •   People’s Day,
               •   Science, Technology and Innovation Day,
               •    Finance Day – Ministerial dialogue
               •   Resilience to Drought Day - Ministerial dialogue
               During  the  thematic  days,  various  side  events  and  official  high-level
            events will be organized in different formats, such as High-Level Interactive
            Dialogues,  Ministerial  Roundtables  and  Special  Events.  The  topics  of  the
            High-Level  Interactive  Dialogue  to  be  held  between  December  5-9,  2024
            within the scope of the thematic days are given below (UNCCD, 2024):
               1.  Sustainable, Resilient and Inclusive Agri-Food Systems
               2.  The  Role  of  Local  Governments  in  Accelerating  Sustainable  Land
                  Management
               3.  Science-Technology and Innovation
               4.  Ministerial Dialogue on Drought Resilience from Geneva to Riyadh
               5.  Ministerial Dialogue on Unlocking Public and Private Finance for Land
                  Restoration and Drought Resilience
               5.2.3. COP, CRIC and CST Bureau Meetings (November 30-December 1, 2024)

               Within the framework of Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs),
            Bureaux consist of at least one representative from each UN regional group.
            The UN has five regional groups including Africa, Asia, Latin America and the
            Caribbean (GRULAC), Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and Western Europe
            and the Other Group (WEOG). The bureau consists of the chairman, the vice-
            chairman and a reporter. The Bureau tries to find satisfactory answers to the
            questions asked to the Secretariat in the COP and sub-bodies at the intervals
            of the sessions, together with the Secretariat. The Bureau creates the agenda
            items and the structure of the meeting in cooperation with the Secretariat.
            The Bureau examines the reports prepared by the Secretariat. The bureau
            meets daily to discuss how the meeting has progressed and will proceed the
            next day (UNCCD, 2024).
