Traces of Possible Ancient Life From Mars to Earth:
An Assessment of The Microbial Ecology of Salda Lake and Its Protection

The research reveals the temporal-spatial change of climate zones for the
years 2020-2100 at twenty-year intervals. GIS has been used as a tool in making
future forecasts. The main purpose of the study is to draw attention to the
changing structure of the climate, to produce future models that will provide
an understanding of the spatial change of climate zones, and to present an
analysis at watershed scale that can guide land use policies.

               2. Material and Method

2.1. Changing Climate Zones in the Antalya Basin
Coastal cities are more vulnerable to climatic risks in terms of sea level rise,
floods, overflows, soil losses and extreme weather events. The basin is seen
as an ideal working scale in the planning, management and analysis of natural
resources (Öztürk et al., 2012). In the 4th Assessment Report Of IPCC (2007), it
was explained that the Mediterranean Basin, in which Türkiye is also located,
is among the high risk regions that will be affected by the climate change.
The Mediterranean coast is an important tourist attraction area for domestic
and foreign tourists due to the ecological richness of our country. In this
regard, it is a basic source of development in many sectors such as agricultural
production, maritime trade and entertainment. Therefore, coastal areas are
more sensitive in terms of resilience to climate change and have more critical
characteristics in terms of vulnerability. In this context, the Antalya basin has
been determined as the study area in the analysis of temporal-spatial climate
            zones.

               2.2. Antalya Basin
The Antalya basin is located in the Mediterranean region in the south
of Türkiye. It involves a large part of Antalya province, which is one of the
prominent destinations in the tourism sector due to different services it offers
(Dönmez and Türkmen, 2015) as well as a part of Burdur and Isparta provinces.
The research area covers a very rich region in terms of natural resource values
containing biological diversity. Antalya city center, one of the most crowded
provinces of our country, is located within the borders of the basin.
