• March 1: A meeting was held with Mehmet Muş the then Minister of
Commerce at the Joint Assembly Meeting of Kahramanmaraş TSO and
TB. Expectations of Kahramanmaraş business world were received.
3.3. Permanent Housing and Price Fixing
Permanent housing is an important indicator of the normalization process.
In this scope, the “Business World Housing Mobilization” was initiated with
the support of the business world as TOBB and 365 Chambers-Commodity
Exchanges. The process of building permanent housing for earthquake victims
is ongoing within the scope of this mobilization. Again, an agreement was
reached with the relevant sectors on price fixing for building materials to be
used in the construction to be performed in the earthquake zone. Declaring
this decision with the public on February 25 is one of the important steps that
have been taken.
3.4 Cooperation with AFAD on Training
In the scope of the activities of “2021 Disaster Education Year of Türkiye”
with the Ministry of the Interior “TOBB-AFAD Disaster Awareness Training
Cooperation Protocol” was signed.
Within the scope of the protocol, all our Chambers and Commodity
Exchanges were trained via distant education method. Moreover, within the
scope of the protocol, online trainings have been organized to Chamber /
Commodity Exchange member companies periodically every month since
December 2020 and their questions are answered interactively in these
trainings.
By announcing the “Disaster Awareness Training for Workplaces” prepared
by AFAD to our Chambers / Commodity Exchanges within the scope of the
protocol, it was requested that the training video be published on their
websites and social media accounts.
3.5. Sağlam KOBİ (Resilient SME) Project
TOBB carries out the Sağlam KOBİ Project in order to increase the
disaster awareness of SMEs throughout Türkiye, to strengthen their disaster
preparedness and resilience. The Sağlam KOBİ Project does not limit the
concept of ”disaster” to natural disasters and shares its vision with SMEs with
regards to provide effective solutions for all extraordinary conditions either
natural or human centered, that may prevent business continuity.
SMEs can test their disaster preparedness levels of SMEs with “Disaster
Resilience Test” in Sağlam KOBİ, learn basic measures with “Top 20 Tips”,
determine their most critical business assets with “Business Workbook” and
