Preparing emergency plans: Enterprises can ensure the safety of their
employees and business processes by preparing comprehensive emergency
plans for earthquakes and other disasters.
Earthquake resilient buildings: Enterprises should pay attention to the fact
that office and factory buildings are built and reinforced in accordance with
earthquake regulations.
Backup and recovery systems: Enterprises should regularly back up their
important data and systems, and install systems that can recover quickly in the
event of a disaster.
Business continuity planning: Enterprises should create alternative supply
chain, communication and logistics plans to ensure business continuity in the
event of a disaster.
Cooperation and coordination: The business world should cooperate with
public and private sector organizations and provide coordination on disaster
management.
Insurance and financial planning: Enterprises should minimize their financial
losses by purchasing appropriate insurance policies against earthquakes and
other major disasters. Insurance companies should issue appropriate policies
for enterprises regarding disaster insurance.
Employee and customer safety: Enterprises should provide emergency
equipment and supplies, as well as establish emergency evacuation plans and

In conclusion, the measures and studies proposed by TOBB are very
important in order to increase the resilience of the Turkish business world
to disasters. In order to cope with major disasters such as earthquakes,
enterprises should provide their employees with disaster training and
awareness programs, prepare emergency plans and build earthquake-resilient
