3.3.1. Examination of the Historical Core
The urban green areas of sixteen neighborhoods located in the historical
core were studied in four regions. According to the data obtained from
the current plan of Amasya (Amasya Municipality, 2021); there are 8.4 ha
passive green areas, 0.06 ha children’s playground and 1.73 ha urban parks
in the Region I, which represents the green spaces located in the Hızırpaşa
Neighborhood. In the Region II where the green areas located in İhsaniye
Neighborhood were examined, there are 280 ha passive green areas, 0.07 ha
and 0.04 ha children’s playgrounds. In the Region III, where the green areas
located in Gökmedrese Neighborhood
III. there is a cemetery of 4 ha as a passive green area. In the Region IV, which
represents the green spaces in Sofular Neighborhood there are 1.1 ha urban
park and 0.003 and 0.11 ha children’s playgrounds. When the green areas in
the historical core are examined, there are 292.4 ha passive green areas, 0.31
ha children’s playground and 2.83 ha urban park. While the historical core
construction area is 238 ha, it covers a total area of 526 ha together with
passive green areas.
