On July 29th, 2021, the quarters of Armutalan and İçmeler in Marmaris,
Muğla, The quarters of Kuyucak and Köyceğiz Asartepe in Milas witnessed
forest fires. In the forest fires around the city of Muğla, 1 person was killed,
and another 49 were injured. On July 28, 2021, 21 forest fires broke out
in Adana. On July 28, 2021, in Kırmacılı and Karacalar villages in the city of
Osmaniye, two different forest fires occurred. On July 28th, 2021, fire started
in the districts of Aydıncık and Silifke in the city of Mersin. Antalya, Muğla,
Mersin, Adana and Osmaniye were granted a total financial aid of 62.5 million
Turkish Liras by AFAD, the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services, the
Ministry of Environment Urbanization and Climate Change, and the Ministry
of Interior, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and the Directorate of
Social Services. (Turkish Ministry of Interior, the Directorate of Disaster and
Emergency Management , 2021a).
The total number of barns built after the disaster was 600, while the total
number of housing was calculated to be 1281. The relevant building processes
are still in progress and a total of 900 million Turkish liras worth of tender was
determined. 3

c. The Kastamonu Bozkurt-Sinop-Bartın Flood-Aug 11 , 2021
After the flood that had a recorded casualty of 65 people, and caused
the loss of tens of people and damaged most of the buildings around the
area on Aug 11 , 2021, a lot of demolished, damaged or commissioned

flood, many office spaces were completely destroyed or damaged. After this
disaster, operations continued non-stop. The Directorate of Meteorology
announced that on Aug 11th, in the district of Bozkurt alone, there was 161 kg
of rain per square meter, and the villages around it received a serious amount
of rain, reaching 453 kg per square meter. The flood experienced with the
sudden rain resulted in damage in many stores, factories and houses in the
industrial region of the city. The flood, which can be considered one of the
biggest floods of the city and is also called the West Black Sea flood, led to
the damage of many settlements.
In the district of Bozkurt, which was exposed to great destruction by the
earthquake, the Ezine Creek overflowed due to heavy rain, flooding the whole
district and leading to serious damage. The leading cause of the disaster in
Bozkurt was extreme rain, while other particular reasons include narrowing
the creek bed, building houses on the creek bed, the spread of the logs in
the log warehouse down the creek, blocking the bridges. Ezine Creek passes
through the Bozkurt district. It was found out that a lot of reinforced concrete
