               The main navigation arteries in the project area, which will be inhabited
            by about 40.000 people, are allocated for pedestrians only, and as shown in
            Figure 5, the uses in the area are designed in such a way that all services
            are within 500m walking distance. The NAR Project area consists of parallel
            pedestrian, bike, and vehicle lanes with 50m distance to each other (Figure
            6). According to the 1/5000-scale Master Plan, the main artery crossing the
            project  area  in  the  Northeastern-Southeastern  axis  is  designed  to  have
            a  connection  to  a  cloverleaf  interchange  on  Ataturk  Boulevard.  The  NAR
            Innovation District aims carbon neutrality by 2030. For this reason, the vehicle
            traffic in the NAR project area is restricted to first conventional and later to
            autonomous electric vehicles only. Moreover, the project area is designed to
            provide test infrastructure for autonomous vehicles.
