                                        ABSTRACT
The relationship between urban growth dynamics and climate change is re-
vealed in this study. The driving forces of urban growth are discussed in terms
of its effects on climate change. Spatial, economic, social and environmental
evaluations were made by examining the urban growth approach and strat-
egies of international institutions that both define the limits and forms of
growth and work on climate change, such as OECD and IPCC, which stand
out on global scale with two-stage literature review. In the second part of the
literature review, studies on urban growth and climate change in Türkiye are
            presented.
In the findings, the importance of land-use policies, the existence of natural/
sensitive areas, the inclusion of local governments and the revision of growth
policies according to the changing local climate change impacts were em-
phasized. It has been mentioned the impacts of climate change should be
taken into account with urban growth policies, similarly in the evaluation of
Türkiye made by examining the documents and documents related to the
subject. Since the study reveals the relationship between climate change and
urban growth dynamics, it is predicted that it can present a unique roadmap
for Türkiye in the development of climate change adaptation policies.
