Environmental Cleaning was Performed in

Mogan Lake

The personnel of the General Directorate of EU and Foreign Relations carried out environmental cleaning at Gölbaşı
Mogan Lake during Türkiye’s Environmental Week.

Türkiye Environment Week, which was determined as “Zero Waste” by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization
and Climate Change this year, was celebrated with various activities all over the country. The personnel of the
General Directorate of European Union and Foreign Relations also rolled up their sleeves during this special week
and carried out a sample event by collecting the wastes around Gölbaşı Mogan Lake. At the event, in which Aytaç
Yüksel, General Manager of EU and Foreign Relations and Chairman of the Program Authority also took part, the
wastes by the lake were carefully cleaned.

UNCCD 15 Conference of the Parties (COP 15)
held in Abidjan

The 15 Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification
(UNCCD) (COP 15) was held in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
Representatives from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Directorate General for
European Union and Foreign Relations and the Directorate-General for Combating Desertification and Erosion
attended the conference with the main theme of “Land. Life. Legacy: From Scarcity to Prosperity”. Within the
scope of the conference; the topics of “land management, drought, migration, effective and sustainable use of
resources” were discussed.
