STUDY VISIT TO ITALY
The delegation headed by Dr. İsmail Raci Bayer, Head of EU Investments Department of the Directorate General for
European Union and External Relations of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, paid a
working visit to Milan, Italy between 27 November and 3 December 2022 within the scope of the IPA II period technical
assistance project. Within the scope of the visit where the meetings between the delegations on the environment
and climate change took place, inspections were made in Milan’s solid waste and wastewater facilities.
Fifth Intergovernmental Conference Held in
New York
The Fifth Session of the Intergovernmental Conference
on an international legally binding instrument under the
United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea on the
conservation and sustainable use of marine biological
diversity of areas beyond national jurisdiction was
held in New York/USA. Representing our country, Vildan
Bölükbaşı Atay, Environmental Engineer from the
General Directorate of Environmental Management of
the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate
Change, Aysun Boşca and Yasemin Keskin, Environment
and Urbanization Specialists from the General
Directorate of EIA Permit and Audit, and Kudret Aslı
Babacan, Environment and Urbanization Specialist from
the General Directorate of European Union and Foreign
Relations, attended the conference.
