TÜRKİYE’S UNDERGROUND TREASURES
Surrounded by natural wonders on all sides, the aboveground beauties of our paradise homeland are as
fascinating as the underground beauties. It is impossible not to be amazed by our caves, each of which
is home to millions of years old formations, very different ecosystems and quite different and sensitive
creatures adapted to these ecosystems. These deep treasures of the underground are registered and
protected as “Natural Assets” by the General Directorate of Conservation of Natural Assets.
