2.4. Degradation of Pasture Land Under the Threat of Drought

Another difficulty about arid and semi-arid regions is the presence of
degraded pasture lands characterized by low productivity. Globally, a significant
portion of pasture lands is located in regions with arid and semi-arid climatic
conditions. In these areas, in addition to low precipitation, pressures resulting
from human activities gradually lead to the loss of vegetation cover over time.
Similar climatic conditions and anthropogenic impacts are also relevant for
the pasture lands in our country. Indeed, the majority of the pasture lands in
our country are situated in arid and semi-arid regions (Table 3).

completed, while efforts continue in areas excluded from registration during land surveys.
