2.4. The Avalance Mobile Application Developed by the
General Directorate of ÇEM

The Avalanche Mobile (Çığ Mobil) application was developed by the
General Directorate of ÇEM to detect avalanche-prone areas in Türkiye and
to ensure the safety of citizens (Figure 9). One of its kind in the World, this
mobile application displays the potential avalanche starting zones on the map
and informs users with audible warnings when approaching these areas.
