standard was taken into consideration and a transformation algorithm was
developed from UASIS land cover classes (79 classes) to CORINE land cover
classes (44 classes). For heterogenous classes (e.g. Mixed agricultural areas)
Dominance analysis method was preferred. Irrigated agricultural area data,
impermeability and forest density data were also utilized for an accurate
              transformation map.
Land cover change map was mapped for pilot regions in the years, 2019
and 2020, and the transformation map can be produced for 5 main classes
              and 79 sub-classes.

                3. UASIS Classification Works

Classification work was conducted in small pilot fields before they were
expanded to a nationwide scale in Türkiye. While the pilot fields were being
chosen, regions that could involve all classes were taken into consideration
and classification works have been carried out by selecting four Sentinel-2 tiles
from the Sakarya Basin and one Sentinel-2 tile each from the Büyük Menderes
and Eastern Black Sea Basins. With the software developed through studies
conducted, UASIS classification studies were implemented in 128 Sentilnel-2
tiles covering the entirety of Türkiye.
The classification accuracy of the land cover map produced through the
system in pilot region studies varied between 71% and 98% in automatically
detected classes. In classification works, the main and sub-classes are
produced separately. First, the algorithms involving 5 main classes
“As of today, the Draft National Land Cover Map for the entire Türkiye
for the year 2021 has been produced. The labeling/ editing work aimed at
improving the accuracy of the produced map has been completed. The cycle
involving the labeled data as well is rerun, and the work on producing the final
map is still in progress. Additionally, works towards the production of 2023
year land cover are run concurrently, and at the stage of data preparation.
Land cover change maps will be produced along with annual land cover
maps for 5 main classes and 79 sub-classes.
Sample images of a 36TTK grid located in the Sakarya Basin are shown
in Figure 1. The following images are shown in Figure 1: a. High-resolution
