The “pasture indicators” gained from the interviews with experts and local
admins, field studies and media analysis, and adapted to DPSIR causal analysis
model as part of the study are shown in Figure 9. In DPSIR model, in order
to remove the negative externalities of drivers, pressure, state and impact,
proactive responses based on “driver” and “pressure” should be prioritized,
and it is important to protect pastures before conflicts arise.
Due to the ecological and planetary importance of the pastures and their
correct representation for in terms of climate change adaptation strategies,
there is need for further field studies. While forming “land use planning
specifications” in rural areas, land management and rural planning processes
should be handled in a holistic way. All the rural-ecological commons which
are observed in pastures and are important for carbon emission, should be
handled with an eco-sensitive planning approach, and improved rural policies
should be preserved.
