                 • The rapid increase in decarbonization in all tourism activities and to
this end, investment in low-carbon transport and green infrastructure
solutions, which will render tourism sector more resilient.
                 • Establishing a relationship between tourism sector and carbon sink
areas, that is, maintaining coordination between tourism activities
and climate change adaptation and greenhouse gas emission
activities. To this end, the inclusion of the necessary natural and
technological applications in sector applications, and the decrease
of greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030 in line with the 2050
carbon neutral goal stated in the IPCC 1,5°C Global Warming
                     Special Report.
After the suggestions made in the UN One Planet Vision, the UNFCCC 26 th
Conference of the Parties in Glasgow, an important declaration was made. The
Glasgow Declaration: An Urgent Global Call for Commitment to a Decade of
Climate Action in Tourism, aims to speed up the climate actions in tourism
sector, and take important steps in to this end. Moreover, it involves urgent
action to be taken about this issue. The parties undersigning the Declaration
have made a commitment to decrease global tourism emissions by 50% in
a decade and to reach net zero emission by 2050. For this purpose, they
need to make commitments to take action about the issue. The motto of the
Declaration is “measurement, decarbonisation, regeneration, collaboration
            and financing” (UNWTO, 2022b).
To sum up, in terms of the contribution to climate change and its
vulnerability in the face of climate change, tourism sector requires immediate
action towards the development of climate sensitive solutions and mitigation
of greenhouse gases as well as adaptation to potential effects, which has
become even more important in terms of the resilience and sustainability of
            the sector today.

               Conclusion and Suggestions

Tourism activities date back to the prehistoric times. Although the main
aims of tourism were thought to be elements like travel, belief, entertainment
and culture, today, tourism mobility is maintained through a variety of
purposes, such as convention, health, gold, religious, culture, gastronomy
and winter tourism. The suitability of climate elements such as weather and
climate conditions, temperatures, precipitation, humidity, etc. is of great
importance for tourism sector. Tourism activities may be executed in different
ways in different locations. However, globally, they constitute an important
economic sector in terms of GDP. Extreme weather conditions and disasters
