ABSTRACT
Climate change in the world and especially in Türkiye, which is located in the Mediterranean basin, is
increasingly showing its effect as a global threat. This situation changes the habits and the priorities of
countries/societies in economic, social and judicially. Climate change is writing a new history with new
concepts and new understandings. This study discusses the concept of climate change together with its
elements in combating climate change and aims to address each of the instruments subject to the dispute in
general. Climate change litigation has been categorised according to the forms of the authority to which the
application is made, and important decisions as well as recent decisions on disputes are included. Each issue
discussed in the study or mentioned separately in the footnotes is comprehensive enough to constitute a
research topic on its own
