               G.2.3. Integrated Coastal Areas Plan

               Approaches and studies on coastal areas are of great importance in terms of addressing these
               areas at international and national levels and concerning sectoral policies. Models put forward
               for the planning and management of coasts, which are considered as an important resource
               area, shape national development dynamics and sectoral development trends.

               In this context, competition in marine areas for coastal structures, renewable energy facilities,
               aquaculture and other coastal uses requires a holistic approach to planning and management of
               the marine area and the terrestrial interaction affecting it.

               Significant progress has been made in coastal area planning efforts to ensure the planned deve-
               lopment of Türkiye’s coasts. In 2023;
