                                  The first COP meeting was held in parallel with CST meeting. It was
                                   decided that the headquarters of the UNCCD Secretariat would

                                      Agricultural Development (IFAD) based in Rome, Italy.

                                   UN member states adopted the 2030 Sustainable Development
                                   Agenda, which is a roadmap aimed to be completed in 2030 in
                                   order to achieve the goals of eliminating poverty, protecting our

                                   on Land”, and targeted to “protect, restore and use terrestrial

                                  In the same year (2015), COP12 was held in Ankara, Türkiye. COP12

                                    COP13, held in Ordos, China, adopted the UNCCD Strategic

                                  14th Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP14) held in New

                                  that were stipulated at the previous COP13. At COP 15, 38 resolu-
                                  tions were adopted on improving drought resilience, mitigating the
                                     land degradation and investing in land restoration efforts.
