                  Konya Solid Waste Management Facility of IPA I Project Serves

                  1.3 Million People Serves 1.3 Million People






































                  Aytaç Yüksel, General Manager of European Union and Foreign Relations and Head of Operating Structure of the
                  Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, and Head of EU Investments Department and IPA
                  Director Dr.  Ismail Raci Bayer and their accompanying delegation visited the Konya Solid Waste Management
                  Facility, the construction of which was completed within the scope of the Environmental Operational Program of
                  the IPA I period. The facility, which was built within the scope of the project with a budget of 18.3 million Euros,
                  serves 1 million 367 thousand 241 people. Konya Solid Waste Management Project consists of a sanitary landfill,
                  rehabilitation of the old dump site, 1 transfer station and leachate treatment plant.



                  Waste management services at EU standards will be provided to Kastamonu.



                  Wastewater and solid waste projects financed by the Republic of Turkey and the European Union
                  were visited under the IPA II period Environmental and Climate Action Sector Operational Program.
                  With the projects, waste management services at EU standards will be provided to Kastamonu.


                  During the inspection visit, Mayor Galip Vidinlioğlu, Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change
                  General Manager for EU and Foreign Relations and Head of Operating Structure Aytaç Yüksel, Head of EU In-
                  vestment Department and IPA Director Dr. İsmail Raci Bayer and administrative and technical personnel took part.
