The Treatment Plant Will Produce Its Own Energy

Within the scope of Kastamonu Wastewater Treatment Project, an advanced biological wastewater treatment
plant with a capacity of 31.978 m3/day and capable of treating the wastewater of 155 thousand 790 people will
be built. The system includes pretreatment, biological phosphorus removal, pre-denitrification, nitrification and
final precipitation stages. The treatment slurries that will be formed in the treatment facilities will be stabilized
                     with anaerobic digester.
By burning the biogas that will be formed in the anaerobic digester, a significant part of all the heat needs and
energy needs of the facility will be generated. The stabilized dewatered sludge will be dried with solar dryers
and removed from the site. A biological deodorization unit will be used to eliminate unwanted odors in the fa-
                     cility.

Rehabilitation of 10 Wild Landfills and Garbage from

                     5 Districts Will Be Provided

Within the scope of the Kastamonu Solid Waste Management Construction Work contract, with the constructi-
on of a waste leachate treatment plant with a capacity of 120m3/day, located within the borders of the existing
Kastamonu Regular Solid Waste Landfill, by moving 10 wild landfills in different districts of Kastamonu (Cide, Do-
ğanyurt, Abana, Şenpazar, Azdavay, Ağlı, Devrekani, Daday, Vehicle, Ortalıca) in 5 districts (Kastamonu Merkez,
Taşköprü, Tosya, İnebolu and Seyçiler) together with the garbage coming from other fields, on-site rehabilitation
will be provided and the damage to the nature of the garbage produced in Kastamonu will be minimized.

Upon completion of the project, waste management services at European Union Standards will be provided to
Kastamonu. Within the scope of the project, tools will be taken for use in integrated solid waste management
                     processes in the coming period.
