CLIMATE CHANGE AND TÜRKİYE

ABSTRACT
The chemical components of the troposphere, which is the lower layer of
the atmosphere, are changing as a result of the release of greenhouse gases
such as carbon dioxide and methane into the atmosphere as a result of the
use of fossil-based energy sources, which are needed as an energy source in
human activities in the fields of social, economic, water resources, energy,
agriculture and industry. As a result, climate change and variability occur. In
this article, together with the definition of climate change and its variability in
general, its effects on different sectors, including socio-economic status and
water resources are determined particularly for Türkiye. In addition, measures
and adaptation principles that can be taken against climate change in Türkiye
were mentioned and necessary recommendations were made.
