WORLD HABITAT DAY
HOSTED BY TÜRKİYE
This year, Türkiye hosted the World Habitat Day, which was declared by the United Nations General
Assembly and celebrated on the first Monday of October every year since 1986. This special program, which
reminds all humanity of their responsibilities on issues such as the need for accommodation, sustainable
development, smart cities and in particular global climate change, took place in Balıkesir with the slogan
“Leave No One and No Place Behind”.
