sidential Complex. After the tête-à-tête and inter-delegation meetings
chaired by the two leaders, 15 agreements were signed. Agreements were

of Environment, Urbanization and Cli-
mate Change and Serikkali Brekeshev,
Kazakhstani Minister of Ecology, Geo-
logy and Natural Resources. Following
the signing ceremony, Minister Kurum
made the following statement: “I hope
that the meeting we have held, the
memorandum of understanding we
have signed will contribute to taking
new steps in the field of environment
between our countries, and I hope that
the work we will carry out together will
be beneficial for the friendship betwe-
en Türkiye and Kazakhstan.”
Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in
the Field of Environment
The memorandum of understanding, which aims to
improve and strengthen the cooperation between
Türkiye and Kazakhstan in the field of environment, will
contribute to the economic and social development
of the two countries. The agreement, which promo-
tes exchange of knowledge and experience between
the countries for the purposes of conservation of the
ecosystem, reducing pollution, ensuring environmen-
tal sustainability, will contribute to the exchange of
knowledge and research on environmental mana-
gement, clean production, sustainable consumption,
environmental compliance chain, biodiversity, prote-
cted areas, environmental information system and
capacity building.
